Our unique open kitchen environment lets you step up and watch our chefs as they carefully prepare your meal over an open flame. Wonder how one of our appetizers, Roti Canai is made and masterfully prepared by our chefs? Our open kitchen lets you watch our chefs hustle tossing and turning the bread, allowing you the opportunity to see the them work at what is considered lightning speed.

About Our Chefs

Our head chef, Chef Tong started his chef career at Penang Malaysian Cuisine in New York City 15 years ago. As a cook, Chef Tong had prepared many of the most authentic Malaysian dishes with his careful selection of ethnic spices and freshest ingredients.  Many of these dishes are Malaysian's everyday favorites. With his dedication to his job and his passion over Malaysian food, Chef Tong eventually moved up to be the head chef of Penang in Chicago.

At Peninsula, Chef Tong will be assisted by two other chefs who also have extensive experience in preparing Malaysian dishes.

We are honored to bring this team of fine chefs to the Twin Cities to serve you the best and most authentic Malaysian food.
